Steven Errico is a commercial image maker born and raised on the west coast of Canada. His work has been described as intimate, playful and authentic, earning him awards and accolades from Communication Arts, PDN, AI/AP, Applied Arts, and other notable publications.
Steven believes in creating an environment on set which allows for serendipity, designing ways to uncover genuine moments that create a connection between the subject and the viewer. His obsession with the elements of light and space, combined with careful consideration for production, talent, and locations enable Steven to create imagery that is expressive, nuanced and honest. Known for being collaborative, supportive, and detail-oriented, he has a versatility and adaptability which produce dynamic yet spontaneous work that his clients love.
His passion for his work is obvious as he has been known to dangle precariously out of helicopters, curl his toes over the edge of high-rise rooftops, and be dragged behind power boats in order to get just the right shot.
Steven collected a degree in Marketing from the University of British Columbia, then went on to study at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design. After working as a Creative Director in the tech sector he finally decided to follow this life long passion for photography and dove head first into it as a career. Steven has been working as a full-time professional photographer since 2006. He lives sandwiched between the mountains and the ocean in Vancouver, BC with his wife, two children, and their Mexi-mutt Cedar.
